Opokaa'sin Early Intervention Society

Opokaa'sin Childcare Centre

Our Goal
Is to provide the community with culturally and age appropriate child care programming that will meet the needs and interests of the children of Lethbridge and surrounding areas. With this goal in mind, our hope is to strengthen families through gaining greater awareness of the community and cultural supports available to them in order to build healthier and resilient families.
We are proud to be named an Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Centre!!

Opokaa'sin Early Intervention Society is excited to have been named on of 22 Early Learning and Child Care Centres (ELCC) across Alberta.

What we offer:
To be selected as an Early Learning and Child Care Centre, we were tasked with making improvements that go above and beyond other child care programs. Our program uses an evidence based *child care curriculum framework. This program was developed by early learning and child care educators, early childhood academics, government, and professionals working in related fields. It is designed to foster improved early childhood development outcomes so your child can get the best possible start in life.

Starting JUNE 1st, we will also offer:
- more child care spaces
- capped parent fees at $25/day
- inclusive supports for children with diverse needs
- flexible child care, part time, and drop-in spaces
- co-location with Blackfoot Family Lodge
